2013 SPRING POINTS SERIES: EVENT REMINDER: STAGE 5

EVENT REMINDER:  Stage 5 is May 26, 2013 at the Huennekens Street course at 9:00 A.M.

Meet at Ride Cyclery for a prompt 8:00 A.M. roll out.  We’ll ride to Huennekens Street and then take a minute to sign in anyone who wants to meet there.  

Huennekens is perhaps the safest criterium course in the known universe.  This 0.7-mile near-oval starts out on a very slight decline, then eases through a gentle U-shaped corner before heading very slightly up and through another gentle right. The final corner is sharp enough to cause prudent people to slow, but the start/finish line is a short sprint away, so the top finishers will have bike skills to go with their sprint.

This is a great, safe, fast, crit course. If you've been debating doing a club race, this is the one to start with, IMO.
