It's only possible to make the BWR look like an easy recovery ride if it takes you more than 7 and half hours to complete…

This is a great ride. And Rob and Jo are awesome. This is a bucket list ride - particularly if you haven't ridden that portion of East County - Wynola, Santa Ysabel, Banner, Julian, etc. Last year only a quarter of the field finished the Super Century (144 miles) last year. I am just glad they got rid of the Double (202 miles, 20,000', 35 miles of dirt road including Nate Harrison at mile 105) which makes the BWR look like a easy recovery spin.

Subject: [Swami's] 3rd Annual CCSD Dirty Devil approaches on Saturday, June 1, 2013
Gurus,
Passing this on from our good friend, Ron Panzera from CCSD:
The 3rd Annual CCSD Dirty Devil approaches on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
We ask a favor of you. Please get the word out on this event to your friends and riding comrades. This is a unique event with a small band width in the cycling community and will grow by word of mouth over a few years time.
We look forward to hosting the event again this year, especially since it is part of the bigger King of the Road Challenge (
http://www.epicrides.org/)
We've modified the routes this year to include 127-mile and 84-mile options that are a bit more direct and intuitive. We've kept three packed-dirt sections on the long loop (28 miles total), the key feature of this event. We also kept the dirt road riding clinic on Friday for those that want a taste before event day.
Here is the web page for the event:
http://www.ccsd.com/events/dirty-devil/
Thanks for passing it on!
