I was gung-ho to start building on top of SVGKit and maybe start
contributing, but then I noticed that all of the files say "(c) 2006
Jason Gallicchio. All rights Reserved." at the top without any open
source license. The only place that any sort of open source license
seems to be mentioned is that the project is labeled as "License : MIT
License" in SourceForge. So what gives?

In any case, nice work overall btw. I have been keeping an eye on
SVGKit for several years now and I'm surprised that it hasn't garnered
more attention.

And another question - is StarMap a working project or available
anywhere? Google has not availed me.

Go ahead and use how you like. I meant to add the MIT License
indication to all source files, and I will do that now.

I write SVGKit as part of software for viewing and controlling an
automated telescope. StarMap was something I intended to yank out of
that and make stand-alone. Along with our database visualization. I
guess I got caught up with other things and there didn't seem to be a
huge amount of interest.

By far the biggest source of traffic is people searching for LaTeX and SVG.
