Welcome to the Silicon Valley Google Technology User Group
This group is for anyone interested in learning more about using Google technologies. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at Google in Mountain View, California. All levels of developers are welcome. Upcoming meetings are posted online at least two weeks in advance. The official group homepage is http://www.sv-gtug.org
The inaugural meeting for this group was a Google Web Toolkit presentation by Bob Vawter on January 15, 2008. This group kickoff meeting was co-sponsored by the Silicon Valley Web Developer JUG (Java User Group). As more events are lined up for 2008, the group calendar will be updated to include them.
Group membership is free! If you want to receive email announcements about future Group meetings please sign up with your Google Groups account. This is a low volume announcement only group. On average, you can expect about one message per week. If you do not have a Google Group account email you can create one for free or just email kevin.gtug@gmail.com with 'Join The GTUG Mailing List' in the subject. Our meetings are always free and open to the public.
Leaders
In November of 2007, this group was formed by Van Riper and Kevin Nilson. Van and Kevin also lead the Silicon Valley Web Developer JUG (Java User Group).
