Forbes Layoffs Decimate Staff (FishbowlNY)
The bloodshed began in earnest at Forbes yesterday: 100 employees were let go from the billionaire listing magazine. There had been talk that the cuts were coming, but the scope of the job losses is greater than was anticipated. MediaJobsDaily: A partial list of fired staffers. NYT/Media Decoder: At least 40 people could be cut, while one source said the number could go as high as 60. Gawker: We're told the layoffs are hitting both the magazine and Web sides of the publication -- and that they're not yet done.

*Amazing interviews with Catherine Austin Fitts, former Asst. Secretary
of HUD under G.H.W. Bush telling us what really went on in the crash of
our economy.*

Show's blurb: "Part three of our multi-part series on the Anatomy of a
Financial Coup D'Etat with Catherine Austin Fitts; today, we'll look at
the role of banks and financial institutions, raiding agencies and
various US government bodies."

October 28, 2009 interview

More mind-blowing information if this is new to you.

Note that the financial coup d'etat has caused increased poverty, which
in turn has enabled the military to finally meet its quota(s) for
troops. Also note that we no longer have a strong Posse Comitatus Act in
this country, which means that the military can now be used within U.S.
borders for law enforcement. Hopefully, the oathkeepers will keep the
military from using its force within our borders. Seems it's now time to
wake up any friends and relatives in the military who might be inclined
to follow orders that fly in the face of the constitution of this country.

Newspapers revenues are falling 25% per year. You can figure out when they'll collapse.

If they told the relevant truth, they'd stay in business. In fact,
they'd be booming.

Thanks for putting this link up, Nan. I've been listening to her on KPFA's Flashpoints for a few years. This is chilling.
