Here are three important items for your consideration:

 

1) Letters are being requested in support of making the BLM land at Fort Ord into a National Monument. See Jan. 21 posting for details.

 

2) On Thursday, Feb. 2, Oldemeyer Center, 7:00-8:30pm, Unite Here! Local 483 is holding an informational briefing on their current campaign to defend the hospitality workers in our community. Allies are needed. For more info: Union Project Coordinator, Mark Weller at 375-2246 x 17.

 

3)Help is needed once a month to maintain the plants at Metz Park. The next weeding/watering date is Tuesday, Feb. 7, late afternoon. Please contact Maris for info and to help: orca...@earthlink.net or 899-9957.
