Saunders Hall Incandescent-to-CFL Swap Out

Aloha,

I just wanted to share some good news...I'm about to deposit our rebate check from HECO for the CFL lights we purchased for Saunders!  The HUB swapped out 113 incandescent lights with the help of Custodial Services and the Board of Regents Scholars.  The bulbs were in the bathrooms, stairwells and the hallways near the elevators...all locations with 24 hour lighting.  CFLs use about 75% less energy so they will save 42,3330 kWh/year for a total of $6773 annually!  And thanks to HECO's rebate program, the full cost of the bulbs were covered:-)
