Dear AASHE Supporter,
AASHE is inviting applications and nominations for our 2008 Awards program. All award winners will be announced at the AASHE 2008 Conference and Expo in November and will be featured in the new journal, Sustainability: The Journal of Record.
There are three categories of awards this year:
Campus Sustainability Leadership Awards (4 awards)
Four Campus Sustainability Leadership Awards are presented annually to institutions that have made the greatest overall commitment to sustainability as demonstrated in their governance & administration, curriculum & research, operations, campus culture, and community outreach. One award is be given in each of the following categories:
- Community colleges and other two-year institutions
- Four-year and graduate institutions under 1,000 student FTE
- Four-year and graduate institutions 1,000 - 7,500 student FTE
- Four-year and graduate institutions over 7,500 student FTE

Student Sustainability Leadership Award
This award honors an undergraduate student from an AASHE member institution who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in promoting campus sustainability. The Student Sustainability Leadership Award includes a $750 prize.

Student Research on Campus Sustainability Award - New for this year!
This award recognizes outstanding student research that advances the field of campus sustainability. Students are invited to submit research papers of any length on campus sustainability that have not been previously published, are written in English, and were completed within the 12-months prior to the application deadline.

To nominate an institution or student for an AASHE Award, please send a brief letter of nomination to awa...@aashe.org with contact information nominated institution or individual. AASHE staff will contact this person to let them know that they or their institution has been nominated, and to encourage them to apply.
