Subject: Our Big News: Sustainable UH!!!

Aloha!

It is my great pleasure to introduce to you the next initiative of the HUB
(Help Us Bridge) student team... Sustainable UH!

Visit our new web site at:  http://sustainable.hawaii.edu  !!

The mission of Sustainable UH is *to be of service to those establishing the
University of Hawaii System as a world leader in sustainable education,
research* *and practices *by facilitating community events and providing
“student-power” for energy audits, waste audits, and other green projects at
the request of organizations throughout the ten-campus system.  And
the Sustainable Saunders initiative continues under the direction of Dr.
David Nixon of the UHM Public Policy Center as a living laboratory for
innovative sustainability research.

The HUB’s new initiative, Sustainable UH, extends the momentum of
Sustainable Saunders to those throughout the UH system requesting their
services beginning with Honolulu Community College (HCC), and the Student
Bar Association at the University of Hawaii at Manoa who intend to make
the Richardson School of Law the greenest Law School in America!  These
initiatives are underway with lighting audits, dumpster dives and a computer
power save pilot with Pacific Green IT.  The goal is to replicate
Saunders' success by achieving $150,000 in energy savings over the next
year, all while training students for Hawaii's green work force.

We couldn't have made it this far without you so we thank you so much for
your support!  To mark this wonderful occasion, we have created two events
for next Wednesday, October 28th, so stay tuned for your official e-vite.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you!
Shanah
