Final exam marks available

Hi everyone, Final exam marks are now available on WebCT (M ~ 52). Once I've finished marking all the lab reports, I'll upload those marks too, and provide a final mark. Compared, to last year, overall performance on exams has been a bit lower, but performance on the lab reports has been a bit higher (so far, the lab report M is around 70).... more »

Just wanted to give you all an update ... I am ploughing a little slower than hoped through lab report marking. All late/extensions reports are now in, so I can start to release available marks. Note - I have marked in order of receipt. If you submitted on time, I will be trying hard to get your mark back before the exam, but no promises.... more »

Creating graphs in Microsoft Word

One of the suggestions I've been making to several people is about how to create graphs in Microsoft Word. You can use SPSS graphs, but a lot of the time drawing the graphs in MS Word is preferable, because it means you don't need to rely on SPSS, you can create some basic graphs which copied and easily adapted, and its arguably easy to tweak the... more »
