Please Help, I used Imgbrn to create a standard cd from flac files as suggested here but the cd won't play on my Samsung surround system (or any other cd player). Is there something that I need to change in Imgbrn's settings or should I use a different program to create (WAV ?) cds. More and more, new files seem to be offered in flac and online searches for programs usually yield some type of restricted trial version. Thanks.

Use WavePad to rip and convert CDs to FLAC.

Use WavePad to upsample data from CD (p.ex. 24b/ 96Hz)

Use AudioMuxer (sic) to burn these upsampled data to a Audio DVD.

Convert the flacs to wav 1st. The burn the wavs to a CD with any bog
standard CD burning program. I thinl there's even one included in
Windows, isn't there?
Get Xrecode or dBpowerAmp to do the conversions. They have free trials
and are cheap to buy anyway.

There should be no need to convert FLAC to WAV.

I know there'll be howls of protest, but I still use Nero to burn
FLACs straight to CD.

You do need to install the codec from here: http://www.bitburners.com/nero-audio-plugins/
, but after that it's smooth sailing.

You have been making data CDs.  You have to make a cue file in imgburn before burning.  See link...

Why that "stony way"?
If you use foobar2000 with the CD-Audio-Writer <http://
www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_burninate>,
it´s quiet simple! The only disadvantage is, that you cann´t select a
burning speed.
May be, that helps too. ;-)

Not saying it's the easiest way... just explaining why imgburn didn't work.

Burrrn. Drag and drop music files (FLAC as well as several other
lossless and lossy formats), CUE files, or even playlists to the
interface and click a button to burn a CD.
