I jus asked the Dr. for an update. Hoping to get clean rips for Grill to work his magic on. FYI I had the booklet scaned in Hi Res and it is on the hub in PDF. Worth the download.

Thanks Paul but the real magic is out there at OxfordDickie or at the
other quad converters. Personally I can add some DVDA authoring if
it's needed.

I think the right person is OxfordDickie. He was and I'm sure he is
still willing to decode the rip. He creates audiophile DVDA without
menu and pictures. If a menu based DVDA is needed then I could step
on.

Hey Paul,  

   If you need a conversion of the rip,  I might be able to help you out.   I could maybe do the conversion and send you the files.  I don't have the ability to do any DVD-A generation, but I could do a 48k extraction.    It would take me a while, but if you have the ability to take the files the "rest of the way" I could possibly get you started.  Having said that, Oxford Dickie is far more qualified than I.   Most of what I know I learned from him, and he's really got things sorted out.

I've been wanting to get some sort of DVDA capability, but I am broke and feel squeamish about using cracked software.   -  CP

When I discussed with the DR; the idea was for you just to put it on the hub
in stereo super quality and OD would do the conversion.

OK, I'm new to the hub, still trying to sort out all the settings.   I was wondering what the name of the Tommy file was.    I tried to download a rar file that claimed to be the Tommy thing but turned out to be a trojan.agent.   Virus protection blocked it thankfully, and am doing a full computer scan to make sure no hidden treats got by it.  Why do people have to be so lame.    - CP

Well, there was the rar file, which unzipped to a file that said "file.exe".  When I clicked on that my anti-virus kicked in and blocked it and quarantined it.    I think I might have not had all the settings loaded in right, and I think I might have been searching other hubs as well.   Truth be told, I am definitely new to the learning curve so I may be over-reacting.  So far my main drive checks out fine with a full scan, and am waiting for the scan of the external drive to finish.  Once those are cool I will get back into it. 

   So getting back to my main question,  what is the name of the file with the AIFF's that I should look for? External drive checks out ok, yay! -CP

So far only the stereo rip seems to be on the hub.  Through the grapevine I heard that a cleaner copy of the record might yield a better extraction.  However,  if there is still interest, I could maybe do a basic extraction and upload it to the hub so someone else might be able to finish it. - CP
