Dear all,

We are trying to use a Mo male thread (M12 P1) which is heated by e-
beam heating. The counter female thread is made of Ta. We tested the
system yesterday but we found that it stuck because of the deformation
of Mo male thread after the heating to about 1000 degrees.

We are wondering if we can make the deformation smaller by changing
the material from Mo to Ta, because we found that the counter female
thread did not deform. Is there a general trend that (plastic)
deformation after heating is smaller in Ta than Mo?

Thank you in advance.

Tetsuo
