Register your TAN at TIN

Thank you for making SureTDS Enterprise as your preferred choice of software for filing eTDS returns for FY 2011-12.

 

Recently we have been informed by NSDL that some deductors (TANs) whose eTDS regular and correction statements are prepared using SureTDS, have not yet registered their TAN at TIN website.

 

As per guidelines provided by Income Tax Department (ITD), deductor/collector are requested to mandatorily register their TAN at TIN website for the purpose of preparing correction statements and downloading FORM 16A from NSDL website.

 

Benefits of TAN Registration:

1.      Download Consolidated FVU file - Correction statements for TDS/TCS have to be prepared using consolidated TDS/TCS ONLY file provided by TIN to registered TAN holders.

2.      Download FORM 16A – Companies are supposed to mandatorily issue Quarterly FORM 16A to deductees. From 1^st July onwards, FORM16A needs to be downloaded from NSDL website for which TAN registration is must.

3.      Get Return Status – When deductors register TAN, they will get an alert from TIN about the return submitted by them on the specified mobile number. This will help you keep track of your returns filed and take necessary action to meet the compliance.

 

We are in process of upgrading the software and enable a feature which will allow users to directly register TAN on TIN website with 2 easy steps. However, this is under testing phase and is due for release by 3^rd week of July.

 

We request all our users to kindly register their TAN’s online immediately & avail services from TIN.
