I'm interested in exploring the idea of a superTweet.net API
federation, where we share the load for the proxied requests.
The technical requirements of a federation member are fairly simple:
1) the ability to host a webapp servlet, which means a) Java and a
Java servlet container (such as jetty) and (b) enough memory to run
the webapp.
The idea would be a person/company willing to donate the server
resources would offer up their IP and it would be added to the pool
for
api.supertweet.net DNS. They would then install the webapp WAR
into their Java servlet container and viola, a distributed
api.supertweet.net proxy service.
Any thoughts?
