Resize image (Thumbnail) and retrieve binary data to display in gridview (VB code)

Good Morning everyone,

 

Currently I can upload images into my database table but i wonder if it is possible to resize the images into thumbnails before saving them into a database table, after this i would like to display the images (binary data) on a gridview.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated,
