hi,

i have been doing this since i first heard about it and i know some of you have been participating too. Earth Hour is described as "the world’s largest collective display of commitment to protect the planet." you can see some of the official videos of the lights going out all over the world. i find some of the images very dramatic and emotionally moving:

thanks,
~ laurie (king/texas)

ps and wouldn't it by nice if people turned off their porch lights and if businesses turned off their bright signs and on-all-night parking lot lights so we could watch meteor showers from our neighborhood?

I agree, Laurie!  We do this, too, most years and it's a beautiful site online.  I also wish we could see a bit of the meteor showers from our yards.

Thanks for the reminder!
