I will be putting my house on the market soon, and want to spread the word in case you know someone who would like to live in our wonderful neighborhood.
Location: One block north of Alabama at 611 E. North St, two blocks west of James, between Humboldt and Iron. The main house is 1 br 1 ba, about 700 sq ft, with an enclosed sunporch, wood floors, and a very large walk-in closet that can be used as a sleeping nook or office. The detached studio is about 400 sq ft, has another bedroom and full bath, walk in closet, wood floors and covered deck overlooking the fenced back/side yard with apple, cherry and plum trees. The front yard has perennial fruit plants (blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, fig, Asian pear, grapes) and two vegetable gardens, all facing south and enclosed by a charming cedar picket fence. Solar panels produce electricity to sell back to Puget Sound Energy, plus result in an annual stipend as an energy producer. Fully insulated, all systems upgraded, many other features make this a comfortable, energy-efficient, pleasant place to live.
The reason I'm giving it up is to move out of state to live close to my two little grandsons. It's more important to me to live close to my family than keep the house that I've put so much into. Time goes by and kids grow up fast.
It will be on the market within a week. I would like it to go to someone who appreciates our neighborhood and wants to keep it the friendly, safe, high-quality-of-life place that it is.
You're welcome to drive or walk by and look from the street. It's too early to show, as I'm too busy getting it ready! But if you or someone you know is interested, let me know and I can send you an email when it's about to be listed.
