One of several:
".cs was for several years the country code top-level domain
(ccTLD) for Czechoslovakia...CS is now the ISO 3166-1 code for Serbia
and Montenegro, which, however, continues to use .yu as its ccTLD. IANA
has .cs reserved for Serbia and Montenegro, with no sponsoring
organizations assigned."

This one's more clear-cut:
".ps is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the
Palestinian territories."
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.ps>
> ".cs was for several years the country code top-level domain > (ccTLD) for Czechoslovakia...CS is now the ISO 3166-1 code for Serbia > and Montenegro, which, however, continues to use .yu as its ccTLD. Montenegro is slowly moving from .YU while Serbia continues using it. Central Bank of Montenegro moved from .YU to http://www.cb-cg.org/ recently...
some hacker with spare time would do great to cross this with population, and make a participantes/population rate, that would be interesting to see :-)
This guy "fromtw" seems to want to confuse the common sense of other people, such as Greg... The very question, whether it's a country or not, should be answered by U.N. :-) Let's leave it behind, I wonder what this guy will say ten year later.

Interesting thought. I'm very busy with trying to handle the flood of
proposals :-) ... but when I get some time, I'll post a breakdown of
the US proposals by state.
To be honest, I don't know how other countries handle their
provinces/states, but I can provide breakdowns for them, too. Should
be pretty easy. Just hang on for a week :-)
It's interesting to see, that Slovenia has the largest percent of applicants on a million inhabitants. Maybe it's because it's so small. 39 out of slightly less than 2 million. :) Well good luck Slovenians. We gonna need it :)
For Italy, for example, i think that a region breakout would not make a lot of sense. But i think that a North/Centre/South breakout could be quite interesting.
Besides it will be a lot of work as in many countries there are no uniform names for the federal states as in the USA. I'm sure some participants of my state will have written "Niedersachsen", others "NDS", and others "Nds." and so on... I don't want to be the one having to evaluate this stuff... :-)
