This has cropped up a couple of times for me. You can either have the
full post on your homepage or you get it "shrunk" which messes any
formatting i.e. <blockquote> that would be in the first * characters
subtext uses to slice the post up.
Think it would be possible to control this using a generic tag, which
is obviously removed on rendering :S i.e.
<p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. In massa
urna, condimentum ut pharetra vel, eleifend quis dui. Nulla sed
sodales erat. Vestibulum vitae auctor eros. </p>
<blockquote>Nam sed malesuada dolor. Quisque leo lectus, condimentum
nec adipiscing ac, luctus vel mi. Aliquam non dolor sed risus pretium
dignissim nec id lectus. Mauris vel odio leo. Nam laoreet, sapien eget
pharetra dictum, tellus est porttitor sem, vel porta ipsum metus a
elit. </blockquote>
<p>Nam porta erat ac tellus iaculis vitae rutrum neque ullamcorper.
Proin eget sapien est. Ut adipiscing purus id lorem imperdiet
consequat.</p>

The above example would only show the content above the slice tag with
the relevant formatting with a link after saying "Read More". Another
option maybe is another property of the post object so you can set how
many paragraphs to use on the homepage?
Does that make sense?
