Upgrading now is probably a really good idea.  In the SubjectsPlus laboratories, David G is making great progress in CKeditor integration, but it's slow going due to missing/inconsistent documentation.  He hopes to be done pretty soon, but because FCKeditor is so core to SP, it might not be the best thing to upgrade piecemeal when that bit is ready, but do the whole upgrade to 2.0 (which will include CKeditor).  Beta/testing version of 2.0 should be available in January, and hopefully will have an installer/upgrader.  (One way or another, there WILL be a script to migrate data from 1 to 2 and make all necessary database tweaks.)

But there is unlikely to be an installer from earlier versions to 2.0, so you will probably need to do that upgrade first, anyway.  There are instructions on the wiki, and the migrate script has worked pretty well in past . . . .

Recently, using SubjectsPlus 0.9, some of our users have made changes to existing pages only to have an edited pluslet disappear after clicking on the save button.

I'm pretty sure that it's not related to the FF 17 issue, as the problem occurred using Chrome as well.

Complicating the matter is the fact that our hosted site has been recently attacked and some changes made to php.ini and .httaccess files.

This results in quite the puzzle trying to diagnose the problem.

Never-minding that, I'm just about ready to upgrade to the most recent version of Subjects Plus over the winter intersession and am wondering, should I wait for the incorporation of CKeditor to replace the FCKeditor?
