Hi

The new version of Ubuntu Studio is out; downloads are here...

The servers seem to be taking a battering at the moment, but that will
calm down over the weekend. The torrents are probably the best way to
get it at the moment. The HND1 and I will install the new OS in Studio
A on Tuesday.

If you are already running a version of Ubuntu you can upgrade
following this guide...

I prefer having a clean install, but this should work fine.

I've also had a brainwave regarding the installation and subsequent
updates of Ardour on Linux. I've updated the guide at
http://groups.google.com/group/studiob/web/building-ardour-on-linux to
include a single command to install and build everything in one go,
and a shortcut to automagically get new code, delete the old one and
build a new one.

Hi Matt, just tried to dosome work on my remix however Ubuntu won't boot at all. It looks pretty serious, can I bring it in for you to take a look at tomorrow? And if you can bring a copy of Ubuntu just incase it needsa complete reinstallation.
