Fellow Veterans and Supporters,
A few minutes ago I uploaded a form letter for you. Simply click on
files and it is the most recent file. Please email this letter to the
members of your organizations, as well as your friends, family, and
anyone in between.
Below are two links, one is to find your United States Senators, and
the other is for your Representatives. Please take a minute to find
the Congressmen from your respective districts. Complete the form, and
mail, fax and email this thing until you start getting responses from
your Representatives.

In order for our organization to make a change and get programs set up
for our friends returning from war, it will take your hard work and
dedication. Also, please track the number of letters sent by the
people you are working with and try to keep your regional directors
updated with the numbers.
Next, some really good news... Elizabeth O'Herrin, SVA's co-founder
and newly elected Executive Director, just returned from Iraq last
Friday. Since the day she returned, Liz has been working full time on
SVA issues and has been setting up the infrastructure for her and
SVA's move to D.C. next month.
Finally, Elizabeth will be sending out an official Student Veterans of
America application within the next few days. Please fill it out for
your campus group and return it as soon as possible so we can go
forward with our work in benefiting and setting up programs for our
friends returning from the service.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help, and again
keep up the great work. Washington and people from around the country
are beginning to see the awesome things you have been doing.
Best regards,
-Derek
