I want to use Strophe.getUserFromJid from its reference the book "Professional-XMPP" but it's not defined.

Is obsolete this books, its examples ? 

Where is good information about a use Strophe.js ?

I found this reference to be up to date:

It might be getNodeFromJid for the username, or getBareJidFromJid for the bareJid (user...@server.com) you are looking for.

I'm pretty sure you're looking for getNodeFromJid
(http://strophe.im/strophejs/doc/1.0.2/files2/strophe-js.html#Strophe.getNodeFromJid).
I was not aware I had used the old name in the book. Can you tell me
where you found it so I can update the errata?
