Stephanie,
The message simply means what it states; you are trying to plot a profile
link or node that has a missing index or data from the output file of SWMM
5. You should try to make a shorter profile to see if you can duplicate
the problem by plotting a similar profile. If you still have a problem
then I would suggest using the regular SWMM 5 GUI in SWMM 5.0.013

Anne,
You do have to enter a depth area table in SWMM instead of a depth volume
table because volume is a derived quantity in SWMM 3,4,5 and not a
calculated variable in the SWMM solution. The depth at a node is based on
the storage equation or
dS/dt = (Inflow - Outflow)
where S is the Storage,
SWMM assumes that dS = A * dh
where A is the area of the node and dh is the change in node head. The
equation solved in SWMM is:
dh/dt = (Inflow - Outflow) / A
You need to change your depth vs volume table into a depth by area table
by calculating the incremental area increase for each depth in your table
and then summing the incremental areas so that you have a table of depth
versus increasing total area in the Storage Curve Editor.
