Hello friends!
The Stone Soup Symphony has a few concerts coming up and I wanted to make sure they were on everyone's calendar.
As always, all concerts are free to the public. Bring your friends and family to hear some great music.
This Sunday Sept. 9th, 3:30pm
This is a great day out with the family. There's food, entertainment, flea market, costumes, and more. Our concert is the grand finale to the festival, so come early to check out the fair.
We will be playing on the square in the center of town, but the concert is rain or shine. In the event of rain, we'll move inside the Presbyterian church on the square.
Wed. Sept. 19th, 7:00pm
Last year's Rutherfurd Hall concert was such a beautiful setting that we decided to do it again. The evening concert has almost a "candlelight" feel outdoors on the back lawn with a stunning view of the lake. Please help us put this stately old manor house to good use by joining us.
Repertoire:
The Star Spangled Banner
Reed - A Festival Prelude
Tchaikovsky - Marche Slav
Pirates of the Caribbean
Berlioz - Symphony Fantastique (4th movement)
Copland - Hoedown
Strauss - Die Fledermaus
Dvorak - Symphony #9, From the New World (4th Movement)
Ward - America the Beautiful
Sousa - Stars and Stripes Forever
Please pass this email along to your friends and family, post it to facebook, twitter, and the interwebs.
I look forward to sharing music with you at our concerts. See you there!
