We look at everyone else and comment on their faithfulness Why don't we implement the discipline we see in others in our own lives? We are just like them! We are just like the people who forget the valuable thing we have. We are like the seed which fell on the footpath or on shallow soil instead of fertile soil (Saint Matthew 13).
The people around us should gravitate to us because of our faithfulness, just like the lamp spoken about in Saint Matthew 5:14-16:
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
In order to become reborn, we must ask ourselves certain questions
-
Do you believe in God?
-
If yes, do you believe in Jesus and what He's done?
-
If yes, are you His follower? Will others call you a Christian?
-
What are you doing about your Christianity? How are you changing the lives of the people around you?
When we have made steps to positively answer these questions, our lives will be changed and we will be Born Again.
