Our client is the largest agricultural and rural focused marketing communications agency in North America with U.S. offices in St. Louis and Kansas City.
They know the agricultural industry inside and out and want to redefine what an agency can be. Their goal is to change perceptions and exceed expectations as a marketing communications organization, client partner, employer, corporate citizen and neighbor.
Currently seeking a passionate, experienced mobile developer interested in building innovative products with our Business Solutions team. You will be the engineering lead for iOS development, leveraging your deep knowledge and experience with mobile technology and development standards to provide mobile-specific planning, specification, and product development. No stranger to enterprise software development, this role is organized and detail-oriented, and consistently delivers on time and within budget. Working closely with other product, architecture, and development and operations team members, together we'll integrate mobile as a critical component to our new platform.
Responsibilities Include:
•Architect mobile client application design, user, functional and system requirements, consistent with standards and best practices.
•Development of iPad and iPhone implementations.
•Contribute to project planning through scope, deliverable, and estimate definition.
•Collaborate with management, design, development, and operations team members to define clear requirements, deliverables, and milestones for mobile and web applications.
•Assist team members with design and development of mobile dependencies.
•Prototype and ad hoc distribute the app for evaluation.
•Support creation and adoption of systems to assist a reliable development lifecycle, including version control, software testing, continuous integration and reliable deployment practices.
•Review technical debt and refactor appropriately.
•Establish and maintain technology standards, and evaluate new tools and techniques.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related discipline.
•2-5 years experience in professional software development.
•2-5 years experience in iPhone, iPad development.
•Published and supported native iOS applications, references to be provided.
•High fluency in Objective-C, the iOS SDK with Cocoa Touch and related frameworks.
•Deep understanding of client-server software interaction, and designing for its scalability, performance and reliability.
•Strong experience defining user, functional and system requirements.
•Strong API proficiency utilizing XML and JSON standards.
•Experience with native mobile services including location and messaging.
•Experience with SQLite mobile data management and other local storage strategies.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative and iterative programming environment.
•Experience with projects under both waterfall and agile principles.
