Escape the cold with the (emotional, not sweaty) warmth of local
mobile developers at STL Mobile Dev!

Dan Martin (@bithooked) is telling us about mobile commerce and mobile
payments: where they've been, where they are now, where they are
headed, and what it means for mobile developers.

Doors open at 6p, and the talk starts at 6:30p.

We're wide open for the May meeting, so if anyone is interested in
presenting something, I'm happy to have you. We're a great place to
kick the tires on a new talk. We draw a mostly Android crowd, but I'm
happy to have talks from all over mobile.

And what about April you ask...

Well, there is the SURPRISE extra Star Trek movie. A ONE NITE only event nationwide.

It is NOT the re-boot of TOS sequel. That comes out in May.

This is the remastering of the 2 part TNG episode "Best of Both Worlds". They remastered it (and ...made additions? ...changes?) and turned it into a full length theater movie. It is only scheduled to show ONCE, at 7pm in each time zone on this date at selected theaters in each city.

In StL, it shows at The Esquire in Clayton and The Mills west of lambert Airport.

There is talk of SLUUG organizing a joint outing to go see it. Details to follow. Watch http://sluug.org/calendar on April 25 for details (or bug me).
