Just a reminder that our next meeting is tomorrow at 6p (talk starts
at 6:30p) at Asynchrony's Downtown office [1]. Joshua Frank is going
to tell us about Google Glass. I'm very excited! I hope to see you
there.

I will be there. And I mention the following only in case someone
has time to stop on the way.

I noticed on the sluug.org/calendar that the .NET group has a mtng
tonite. Once again, MS desperately trying to get into the market.
They are showcasing sftwr that would allow C# & .NET programing to be
used to
develop for iOS & Android.

It looks like the speaker will only be demonstrating iOS but will
be speaking to Android as well.

It is at 5:30 at BlackFinn in Galleria so it MAY be possible to
stop in there on the way to the Google Glasses presentation tonite and
catch the 1st 30-40 mins.

And, if you do stop in there...tell anyone interested in developing
for mobile, that at the wrong mtng and the wrong OS. ;-) Tell them to
follow you to Asyncronony.

Building Native Mobile Apps in C# and .NET using Xamarin.iOS and
Xamarin.Android

Many of you may have read or seen quite a bit recently about a company
called Xamarin. For those who have not, this Boston-based company has
created a robust set of technologies, frameworks, and developer tools
allowing .NET developers to write native iOS and Android apps using the
C# and related .NET skills that they already have today.

You can park in the parking lot behind Asynchrony at 10th and Spruce
tonight. According to Charlie, the parking lot gates open at 7p, and
you have to pay when you leave (thus, free parking!).

Thanks to everyone who made this happen!

If anyone missed the meeting or didn't hear my offer to send a penny to people via GMail/Google Wallet (http://www.google.com/wallet/send-money/) to activate the Send Money feature on your account, e-mail me and I'll send a magical cent your way.
