Subject: Jesus and Mary Magdalene
Welcome to St. John's Theological discussion board. It is the hope
of all involved with this discussion board that all who participate
will profit spiritually and intelectually from all the discussions that
take place here. Every month there will be a new topic added to this
discussion baord. After you read the topic you can respond with any
questions or comments. The discussion board will continually be
monitored by Fr. John Kefalas and Louis Nicholas. Fr. John received his
Masters in Divinity form Holy Cross School of Theology in 1970 and has
been a priest for over 30 years. Louis Nicholas holds an Associates
Degree in Liberal Studies from Suffolk County Community College, a
Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies from Hellenic College, and has
completed 2 years of graduate work towards his Masters of Divinity
Degree from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Louis is
currently studying under Fr. John for his fielwork credits. He has
taught several Bible studies at St. John's and is currently teaching a
Bible study on the "Lives of the Saints."

The first topic that will be discussed here is the relationship
between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Due to the recent movie, "The DaVinci
Code", many questions have arisen concerning the relationship between
Jesus and Mary Magdalene. This relationship, as interpreted by the
author, Dan Brown, is purely uneducated speculation. In this discusiion
baord I will offer the Churche's teaching on that relationship based on
scriptural, tradional, and other scholarly sources.

Please feel free to ask any questions, or make any comments, you
like. However please keep you questions and comments on the topic.
Thank you very much.
