Geisinger is a large, integrated health system which
encompasses 3 hospitals and more then 40 community practice locations.
Founded in 1915, Geisinger is a physician-led health care system,
dedicated to healthcare, education, research and service, serving 2.5
million people. MedMining is a Geisinger Health System Business which
licenses HIPAA-compliant, ad-hoc custom reports and associated analytical
services to the biopharma and device industries.
We are seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to perform analytical and technical
tasks related to MedMining project completion, including merging data
from various source systems to enable the quality and timely delivery of
reports for both internal and external analysis. This position will work
in partnership with the Director of Operations, MedMining, to analyze and
make recommendations related to the feasibility of new external data
requests.
To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will demonstrate
proficiency with SQL and databases, MS Word, Excel, Access and the
ability to manipulate and merge data files for analysis and other needs.
The candidate will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously
while working in a team environment.
An Associate or Bachelor degree is required. Five years experience using
Oracle SQL or Clarity is required. Five years experience working with
databases, including importing, data extraction and heavy data
manipulation required. Minimum of three years experience working in an
Information Technology environment required.
Detailed working knowledge of Epic data structure and Cache programming
preferred. Epic Inpatient and Outpatient reporting, Eclipsys Decision
Support System, and SAS experience is also preferred.
