Hey Jason,

Yeah, that was a fun meeting. Clint's Shoes demo was awesome!

Glad you have everything up and running on the netbook. I was going to
suggest that if you were having any trouble at all, the easiest way to
try things out is to open up Firefox and sign up for a free account on [link]

 Hi all,
Fun meeting last night, thanks! Somehow I missed the discussion on
Meetup leading up to the meeting. I'll post here and see if this works
better:
Scott - yes, I have a decent Rails development environment - latest
Ubuntu with Rails v2.2.2 installed as explained in Agile Web Development

 Hi Clint,
Thanks for the link. I'm definitely a Novice. :) I need to get a
regular Rails time into my weekly schedule if I'm going to get anywhere.
I did get to hack on a Python script at work this week though so that
was fun. It's a step in the right direction from my usual system
administration & helpdesk work.

I'd like someone to give me very basic reasons for why I need Behavior
Driven Development (BDD, see RSpec) and/or Test Driven Development
(TDD, See Test::Unit).

I'm a fairly competent programmer. I think I use what they call an
"iterative" style of programming; I don't rush out to build the entire

I was typing up a lengthy introduction to the problem, when I came
upon the solution on my own. Here's the pastie: [link]

Essentially, I was creating tables, with each row in a table tied to a
hash in an array (almost how ActiveRecord does it). But each table was
separated by the "ScheduleDate" key in each hash, and I needed to come

Hey everyone! I'm somewhat new to the State College Ruby Group, but
I've been talking for a while to Scott Woods and he suggested we start
this group up again. Hopefully I'll see you all at the meetup this
Wednesday.

Oh, and there was a problem I had. PASTIE: [link]
But I just solved it on my own, so never mind. :-)

 Hey Matt,
Thanks for the feedback!
I also had trouble with the OpenID login, I think maybe there's
something wrong with the way myopenid.org and statecollegeruby.org
talk to each other.
