  I&#39;m still not sure what the problem was, but I tried a slightly older &lt;br&gt; Windows tclkit from Equi 4 (8.4.16) and it appears to work.   No. You still place your modified ico file in the root of the vfs &lt;br&gt; tree. However, the one that is built into the tclkit executable and &lt;br&gt; therefore is the one that you are replacing is from &lt;br&gt; kitgen/files/tclkit.ico. &lt;br&gt; The sdx utility has for some time been able to replace the version &lt;br&gt; resource strings in the same way that it can replace the icon
