Hey everyone,

You may notice that this is a pretty early warning for the Tuesday
weekly ride, but I'm planning on doing 4(ish) hours with minimal
stopping. Having been out of town for thanksgiving break I didn't get
in any miles this week, so I'm trying to play catch-up. I'm open to
suggestions about a route.

Just to let everyone know that the rare Stanford socks from longscycle.com
have made a reappearance since Sasha's last sighting two years ago. You can
find them by searching "Stanford" on their website. They only have Sm/Med,
though so none for me =(

george

I'm looking to buy a good trainer and would appreciate any recommendations regarding brands/models you love (or hate).

Important features would be the quality of the "ride," quietness, and ease of set-up. Price in the $300-$400 range (new) would be ok. Thanks!
Bob
Robert Cullen
Dept. of English and Comparative Literature

There will not be a sprint workout tomorrow which is Thursday. It will resume the following week. There is a traditional ride that day up Mt. Hamilton. My plan is to drive to the start at Alum Rock and rt. 130 (Mt. Hamilton Rd.) and start riding at 9 am. There is a low-key hillclimb event starting at 9:30 am. I don't know the details of this event. If the weather is good, there can be hundreds of riders doing the climb and very few cars.

Hi team. The team has recently acquired a 56 cm road bike and a bunch of roof rack equipment that is available for use.

The road bike is a 56 cm steel frame "Burley" (that's the brand) with 9 speed Ultegra. No pedals. It was donated to the team under the stipulation that it be used for a new rider, not as someone's baller commuter bike. (Which is sad but sensible, as it would be a sweet freakin' commuter.) If anyone out there in the 5' 8" to 6' 0" height range wants to ride road bikes but does not have one, please get in touch with the team officers (particularly Wyles and I) to arrange a loan.

Hi Nick. There are a few ways to get to the PO from Palo Alto. Two
of the better ones are the California Ave and Homer Ave bike
underpasses. Cali Ave goes under Central Expwy and the CalTrain
tracks, while Homer just skips the tracks. The Cali Ave one is on
GMaps but Homer is not.

From there, work your way to the center-ish part of campus:
