Seems like there's no official team ride this Saturday but I'd still
like to go out for a 4+ hour ride anyway. Would anyone be up for that?
I don't know where to go though.
I'm thinking if we take off at 10am, and be back at like 2-ish, that
should be enough time to grab some food before the skills clinic.
On another note, I'd really like to fulfill Rae's request for "someone
wearing full purple suit" to the Roxbury tomorrow night but I've been
looking around in vain, anybody got anything for me or any suggestion
on where I can get it?
Sounds good to me. I was thinking Kings, 84 and back up West Alpine.
Not quite 4 hours, but there's the skills clinic later at 3:00 too.
Route negotiable.
Let's meet at 10:00 and roll at 10:15 on Saturday.

i'd be interested in tagging along for this ride, if you all don't
mind slowing down a little bit. any chance of starting a little bit
earlier? i'd like to not totally shoot the day on the ride, as i have
work to do in the afternoon.

How much earlier would you be interested in? I personally can't do much
earlier as I'm not a morning person and I have to ride 30 min to meet you
guys anyway... (don’t forget we have the party tomorrow night!)
We don't have to go race pace to make it. I think, ideally we'd come back
just at 3 to meet the skills ride, which would give us 5 hours, leaving at
10. It's really not that long a ride, since we're not going anywhere near
the coast (unless alex meant to get to W. alpine via tunitas to 1 to
pescadero? I assumed he meant kings to skyline to 84 to pescadero to W.
alpine which isn't very far. I'm guessing the whole ride will be 40-50 miles
(with a lot of downhill))

Also just as much uphill.
I think Alex meant turn off of 84 and go up west alpine, no pescadero
involved.

In either case, let's still meet at 10 am and roll at 10:15 am as
planned.
At the top of Kings, people can just descent 84 home or turn around
and come down Kings if time constraint doesn't permit the full ride.
See you all at 10:00 am tomorrow at PO (unless I see you tonight at
roxbury!)
A bike at roxbury!

Yes, Mike is right. I was planning to turn off 84 and head back up
West Alpine, no Pescadero. We can make it longer if people prefer, I
just thought the skills ride would be more fun if people were
reasonably fresh. And also some people might not be well rested on
Saturday morning, which is the reason for the late start.
Saul, you can also go on Nathaniel's ride at 9:00, you'd be back by
noon.
