I believe the team is getting a nice room in a new building and the building is under construction. Is it possible to pass by the building site on the alumni ride, or even before the ride? I suppose it is not possible to actually go into the site, but that would be nice if possible.
If you have particular needs for the new facility, let us know and maybe some alums might be able to donate some things, such as old jerseys or tools or equipment or photos, etc..
Hope to see many of you Saturday. I'm sure I'll be doing the short ride.........
The site s located on the southern edge of Roble Field -can't miss it as
you go by. There is no on-site access, and unfortunately, I heard a
couple of weeks ago construction activities were on hold due to permitting
issues (not sure if those have been resolved)

There's no building permit listed yet at
http://maps.stanford.edu/construction/ (Look for #3119 West Campus Wellness
Center). When I last looked in they had only done digging, no actual
building, so there wasn't much to see. The completion date is listed as
2/1/2014 so it's quite a way from being complete.

The building is definitely on its way up, and from the sounds of it, not on
hold. It's the same floorplan as Arrillaga gym, and yes, will not be
completed until late 2013-early 2014
