Join SAYA for a 6-week bible study on the Mass. Come for all or part
of the study. 6:30 - Mass in the Church. Scripture Study starts
promptly at 7:30pm in the Palermo Center. Questions? Contact CJ at

Tuesday, October 13th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm : Service Opportunity: Assist
with RCIA
Be a sponsor! Or just come to help with formation of those wishing to
join the Catholic community thru St. Al's RCIA program. SAYA will
helps 2x a month on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. Contact Deacon Al Cuevas,

St. Albert Young Adults Fall Retreat Registration Information
=======================================
Who and what is the Body of Christ? Is the Holy Eucharist the only way
to encounter the Body of Christ? Do I have a role to play in Christ’s
body? Who else is part of the Body of Christ?
You are invited to come learn and reflect on different aspects of the
Body of Christ together with other young adults during SAYA’s fall
retreat themed “The Body of Christ.”
Get away from the daily grind for some spiritual refreshment, fun and
fellowship!
WHO: All young adults (ages 21-39) are invited
WHAT: SAYA Fall Retreat “The Body of Christ”
WHEN: Friday, October 30, 2009 (evening) – Sunday, November 1, 2009
(afternoon)
WHERE: Slumber Falls Retreat Center, New Braunfels, TX
WHY: An opportunity to get away from the daily grind, gain some
spiritual refreshment and enrichment, and build Christian community
among other young Catholics
COST: $35/person – includes lodging and meals
How to register: Complete and return registration form with payment to
the Church office by Sunday, Oct. 18. Registration forms available in
foyer and online on the SAYA Google group. You will receive a
confirmation email with additional retreat details after the
registration deadline.

SAYA Volunteer Call: UT Game Concession Sales
=======================================
Go Horns! UT Football season is here and SAYA has an opportunity to
team up with the St. Al’s Knights of Columbus to sell concessions and
receive a portion of the proceeds for each person who helps!
Volunteers help by hauling tents and other prep from St. Al’s to the
stadium, selling concessions from an hour prior to game to mid-third
quarter and then cleaning up. Volunteers should wear a clean old white
shirt w/no logos (it will get dirty), closed toed shoes (wet floors)
and bring a covered plastic cup for free sodas. Two shifts available:
depart 3 hrs. prior to game (help with pack prep) or 2 hrs. prior to
game (stay longer for clean up). SAYA recommends we do the 3 hrs.
prior shift together (shown below). Dates needing volunteers:
• Sept 19th, meet at Palmero 4PM, game time 7PM
• Sept 26th, meet at Palmero 11:30AM, game time 2:30PM
• Oct 10th, TBA
• Nov 7th, TBA

Disclaimer: Volunteers won’t be able to watch the game, but can still
hear plays over the loudspeakers and be part of the energetic
