Photo Exhibition is being held on the eight States of the North East
on Friday, 19 Nov. 2010, to commemorate Indira
Gandhi's birth anniversary. It will be at the Indira Gandhi Memorial on
1 Safdarjung Road, New Delhi.
Along with the photo exhibition, there will also be music and dances, etc. from
the North East on this day.
It is an event being organised by the Delhi Government and is open to the
public.
Suryakanthi Tripathi has curated the photo exhibition ---- developed the
theme, selected photos and written the text.
The exhibition is called 'THE SUNRISE STATES'.
This is the third year that Tripathi would be putting together such an
exhibition for the Delhi Government.In 2008, the theme was Women of India
from the Vedic Times to the Present, and in 2009 it was Mahatma Gandhi's
Talisman.
