Hi  My name is Debbi Webber. I am a nanny and looking for a job.

 

A little about me.... I grew up in Fl, married a Navy guy and we were off to see the World. We were in Adak, Alaska for 18 months, then Spain for 3 yrs, and Pa for 3 yrs and then Japan for 8 yrs.  I have been in MD for 20 yrs now and no plans to go anywhere else. I had 2 sons along the way who are all grown up and married now.

For 14 yrs, I worked in childcare centers in Crofton, Annapolis and Columbia as head teacher of the newborn classes and also with older children ages 3-10. I was the Director of a small center in Annapolis for about 6 months to help them get started. In 04, I took my 1st nanny position with a Special needs infant and a 3 yr old brother. It was for 3 months as their nanny was having knee replacements. I loved the job and the parents kept me on as the weekend nanny for 5 yrs. They have recently moved but when come back to the area, I nanny for the children.  I have worked with 3 family's in a nanny share where had 3 all under the age of 18 months. I also nannied for twin boys ages 2 mo till they were 2 yrs old and they moved to Hawaii.

At present I am with a family of 2 girls ages 5 and 7. I am really happy here but was just told Christmas Eve, they will be taking time off and will not be needing a nanny after Jan 8th.

Friends are helping me get the word out to as many as I can reach as the winter is a hard time to find the right job and the holidays, no one is around. Being a nanny  and finding the right family and the family finding the right nanny takes time more so than other jobs as it has to be a good fit.

I really love being a nanny as it is more personal to me than with a center and every child is different in the care they need and some centers want same thing for every child.

I have my resume attached, 2 written references, and I also have a list of references I can send and a background check if anyone is interested.

 

I am hoping that when you get this, if you don't need care, that you can send it to any list you may belong too whether it be a club of some kind or a church group or friends and ask them to please send to any of these places also  and to ask other ones to do the same. The more exposure it gets, the better chance I will find a new family that needs a nanny. Feel free to call any of the references. The one reference is for the twins and I can send their email address to you since they are in Hawaii. I appreciate all your help.
