Exercise and the Bible
Some may say that they don't believe in the Bible because exercise is good for you and the Bible doesn't mention as such. I certainly was feeling that ways as especially with the passage from one of Paul's letters that exercise benefit a little but righteousness benefit greatly. Or maybe exercise benefits little, but holiness beneifits... more »

Light and Time
I'm not sure if this is true or not but I think Eistein's equations contend that if you are traveling at the speed of light, for instance if you are light, there is no time. However if God is light and he created the earth and universe in 6 days, then maybe there is time, but it goes by very slowly for God or light.... more »

Dalai Lama
It occurred to me that if the Tibetans are correct that Jesus visited them once physically, that a non-PC origina of the term Dalai Lama might "Delay" "Lamb." As in delay the Lamb of God from returning to earth. I won't interpret whether this is a positive thing or an evil plot...

The West and Plato's/Socrates' Cycle of Societies
As discussed before at the end of Plato/Socrates' Republic there is a discussion of a cycle of a societies that start with Meritocracy, rule of the best with the goodness being the highest value. This occurred during the "Dark Ages" in the West. After this deteriorates, it's replaced with Timocracy which is the rule of a few who have the most... more »

Simcha Jacobovitch and the 6 Days of Creation
Although I believe Simcha Jacobovitch in the Naked Archaeologist Show on the History Channel is sometimes too irreverent and just obnoxious, he does bring up intriguing material if only to summarily knock it down. Recently I saw him introduce a Physicist who explains that because Space expansion causes time expansion and space has expanded by a fact... more »

7 Spirits of God
Interestingly, Revelation doesn't talk about one spirit of God but instead talks about 7 spirits. The 7 spirits are tied to the 7 churches with names in Asia Minor, but if we interpret these names to be the spirits of things that exist today, maybe the 7 spirits refer to to 7 different flavors of Christianity that exist today.... more »

Entering the Kingdom of God
Jesus talks about entering the Kingdom of God as if it is a real realm with boundaries. Jesus says he is the door, and the Kingdom is entered through him through the heart. Jesus also warns against the yeast of the Pharisees and the Herodians which rises the dough of ones heart too, just like the Yeast of the... more »

If the Earth is 4.5 Billion Years Old What's a Different Way of Looking at Life than Conventional Evolution
Here is the way we can say Evolution might be missing the point, but Jesus and John the Baptist correctly understood it: * There is indeed a selection process in life, but what is being selected is not species that can best look after their own interest, instead it is organisms that produce "good fruit" or make the... more »

Is the Earth 6,000 Years Old?
There's a field called Electro Physics or Electric Physics that tries to look at the Universe from an engineers point of view. Some of their claims are: * The sun's atmosphere is at 100's of millions of degrees, whereas the surface is only thousands of degrees. This is because the sun, the planets and all parts of the universe are charge entities and actually... more »

Theistic Evolution and Chrisitan Orthodoxy
<[link]> ABSTRACT Some concepts of theistic evolution are compatible with Christian orthodoxy when we consider a topical and figurative interpretation of Genesis 1-11. And we are not obligated to enforce the false dichotomy that implies that the divinely inspired ancient Near Eastern... more »
