Just as Physcists seem to have discovered it is impossible to study
nature without changing it, perhaps I would like to add two seemingly
contradictory ideas for Biology that frankly I can't reconcile at the
moment either:

A. It is impossible to understand a living thing completely without
killing it and studying it in the name of science, knowledge etc.

B. If we wish to understand life itself, i.e. be a true Biologist, we
must be of Life, which means being a being that shares its life to the
point of giving it away. That is to truly understand life we must
sacrifice ourselves for Life.

So may be what I'm saying is, to truly understand Life, we must not
only destroy lower organisms and study their remains, but in a sense
continually sacrifice our lives to and study it, up to the point of
ultimate sacrifice of giving our live's for our friends.

There are no true Biologists who are cowards. I know though I may
talk bravely and seemingly wisely, but I'm the biggest coward I know.
This is a great shame. God give me the strength to sacrifice.

I'm just suggesting this part roughly, but maybe the more one knows
about life through the study of it and wisdom etc., perhaps the less
one is alive. Maybe to know is to "no" but really those who pursue it
(like me) do so to avoid behaving as God would want; that is to be
humble and do God's will. So instead of knowing ("noing") one should
instead be "yessing". So perhaps the pursuit of Philosophy although
it produces results is in the end is self delusional:

"Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon
wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the
intelligent will vanish." Isaiah 29:14 - NIV

"Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because
you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed
them to little children." Matthew 11:25 NIV
