Hi all,

Following on from today's meeting I would like to present my idea in a clearer format. I incorporated the seesaw as many people seemed to be really keen on the challenge however it works without the green ball or putting the green ball on any other nominal places.

Picture attached.

Let me know what do you think and do share your own ideas! We should get to some sort of decision next week about at least the major outline of the competition so it can be advertised in schools, and draw students (and teachers in).

Thanks,

Aron

Thinking about the pacman/collaboration game, I propose a variation on the seesaw. Imagine the ramp I had but with a big gap missing. This gap is big enough for a robot to drive into. Only with a robot in it can you get up the ramp and across to the 'fuzzy duck'. This gives teams the opportunity to complete this task by some kind of arm, a detachable shell that they leave in the gap OR through collaboration with another robot.

Incidently, the duck has to be worth double the number of points available for collecting all the other blocks otherwise no-one will bother.

I have a couple of doodles which i will scan in at a later date.

We pretty much guage the size of the robots according to the gap, so we say it cant be bigger than 0.5 cube but then say the gap is 0.3m high, we wont get stupid sized robots.

I like the ramp because of the number of potential completion ways, a ramp isnt that hard to build, it'll look good and it poses less potential damage to robots (and thus the floor and producing shit that we have to clear up).

Thoughts?
