The Christmas Handicap will start at the Golf Club at 10.00AM NOT
11.00AM. We will meet at the Golf Club at 9.45am for a 10.00am start.
The reason we have to start the run earlier is that some club members
are taking part in the Santa Run which starts at 11.30am from town.
The form is the slowest runners starting off first and so on with the
idea that all come in at the finish around the same time. Also bring
a pressie worth no more than £5.00 for the christmas dip. We usually
go into the club house afterwards for a tea/coffee but not sure if we
will have time to do this this year. However there is a great trophey
to be won which Neil Macdonald will be handing over - polished of
course. Please come along so that its more than me and Honey pie thats
taking part - otherwise I will have to collect my own present!!!

A fine club event with a long standing tradition of close to 20 years,
so yeah come along. One other long standing tradition is to challenge
the handicapper about given starting times - I've been told how to
handle this at the recent Water of Leith 1/2 Marathon - so there will
be no "ringers" winning this year!

See you at the starting line! - Zato

Campanology was rife - and I'm not talking about guys in Santa Suits!

For those interested, some photos of the Handicap and the Santa run
are now on the SRAC web site.

Action (?) shots were taken by Agnes - she and Howie decided to walk
the dog instead of run! I found Andy Capp funnier than my handicap - I
even had to give Dougie a start! I dont know about his pipes but I
believe he's away before his eponymous trek! So the seals will have to
wait yet another year before they hear the sound of the pipes again.

I know a certain Mr Gumpto be a player - perhaps he could cause a
