Subject: GitHub project?
I've been looking and haven't been able to find an official open
source repository (SourceForge or GitHub) for this project.

All in all, it seems like this project is pretty inactive.

I am interested in taking over this project or at the least, starting
a fork of it.

I have started a repository on GitHub: http://github.com/sgricci/sqlsuperbuddy
tentatively named SQL Super Buddy.

I'd love to know what everyone thinks.

Thanks,
Steve Gricci

Sounds good. I starred your post and hope others pitch in with their
replies too.

sounds like a good idea to me - although SQLbuddy is a fantastic tool
as it currently is, i think it could definitely benefit from being
more active, in terms of release cycle, features, list support, etc.

i'm probably not SQLwise enough to contribute code myself, but more
than happy to be involved in feature suggestions, testing, etc.

the github link you gave is not working though, have you changed it?

cheers
simon

Name of the new project seems to have changed to SqlLaboratory, to be
found at:

https://github.com/sgricci/sqllaboratory

Sander

Hi Steve

I see the repository is in place at https://github.com/sgricci/sqllaboratory

Do you have any specific plans or ideas for SQL Laboratory? Are you looking
for any particular help or input from people?

Do you want to use this discussion list?

Would be good to hear from you and find out your thoughts and plans, so we
know if it has a chance of becoming an active project again.

I've got a feature request which I'll open an issue for. I'm not able to
help with coding at the moment but I can do testing.

Many thanks
Simon

Hi Simon,

I didn't create the github project, but I'm all for making the code live on!

I can't provide too much time on the project with technical skills, but I'd
certainly be willing to contribute some minor PHP or UI additions if anyone
wants/needs it added.

Likewise I'd be more than willing to assist with testing new versions.

I think I got involved in this thread due to finding a "missing feature" in
SQLBuddy whereby I could not seem to adjust a column to be a (primary key
and/or auto-increment) after it was made.

As for which list is used to discuss this... I'm guessing this one works for
now.

Steve
