Boot from thumbdrive or cdrom and scan?

I think boot from thumbdrive or cdrom before scanning, would be a
good idea, if it could be done.

1) No worries about malware starting during bootup.

2) Bootup could be faster.

3) You would not have to install/update spybot, or whatever, since it
would already be on the thumbdrive.

Does this make sense? Can this be easily done? What OS would be best

My mother-in-law is receiving popups that she has viruses, trogans
etc... on her computer and the only way to remove these files is to
purchase a product called Malware Catcher 2009 (also as a popup). She
has Norton installed (and recently purchased an upgrade) and they want
to charge $100 to remove the software. Has anyone had any experience

Try and protect your computer.
If you are like me then you have probably tired many different types
of scans to try and protect your computer. There are many different
options available but I have found that most of them pick up the same
bugs whether you pay for the scan or download a free version. Search-

Huh?? What about the logfiles? Just check your machine which was first - the egg or the henna.
That's what the log files are for.

Yes and no it could have happened at the same time or they could be separate
that depends on which malware infected you. Spyware guard will try to load
other malware. Is your system clean now?

Hello,

So my work machine got hit by Spyguard.exe and I started getting
popups about installing Spyware Protect 2009. I know I am against
malware and everything is taken care of.

Thanks alot, I haven't used it yet but sure it will delete infectuous
activity because the details shown on it are quite similar to my
proble.

There is another problem that I cannot view Taskmanager through run,
through ctrl+alt+delete or anyways. is it also brontok or other
viruses exists as well? cause this is not mentioned in the given link.

it resets and doesnt get me into any of my system changes. i cant
delete whole lot of my precious data. it abondons all trying to
