Subject: Boot from thumbdrive or cdrom and scan?
I think boot from thumbdrive or cdrom before scanning,  would be a
good idea, if it could be done.

1) No worries about malware starting during bootup.

2) Bootup could be faster.

3) You would not have to install/update spybot, or whatever, since it
would already be on the thumbdrive.

Does this make sense? Can this be easily done? What OS would be best
to use? Vista? XP? Linux?
