How can I page notebooks?

I'm using the following endpoint 

http://springpad.com/api/users/me/notebooks

but passing start parameter returns an error in the response. The limit  parameter seems to work. I typically use the combination of the two params to provide paging. What's the best way to page through notebooks?

Those parameters should work fine.  What error do you get when you use "start"?

Sorry I was using this URL for followed notebooks:

http://springpad.com/api/users/me/following/notebooks

When I use this in conjunction with "start" I get a generic error response "Not found". i just realized that in this case the limit parameter is also not respected. 

How can I correctly page followed notebooks for a user...
