Hi Jan.  I was able to use the api to set a task to complete by using a value of true.  For example, this is the json I passed in:

[["set", "/UUID(1b335ea8-aead-402d-b3bd-13c27ec62485)/", "complete", true]]

If this change does not work for you double check that you are setting it on the right uuid.
