John;

I might be crazy,but I think there was a script that read an existing
excel file and created a perl program from it. Am I right? if so where
can I get it?

Hi,

There is a Win32::OLE program that ships with the WriteExcel distro
called lecxel.pl that convert an Excel file to a WriteExcel program:

Alternatively, you could create a template of the file you want and
add to it using Spreadsheet::ParseExcel::SaveParser (with some
caveats):

John.
